the Po Valley, in a small village of the municipality of Ostana, one of the \u201cMost Beautiful Villages of Italy,\u201d at an altitude of 1,630 meters. Surrounded by nature and the high peaks of the Alps, the Monviso stands out, visible from here in all its majesty and pride.<\/p>\n

Our love for the mountains brought us up here, where we initially started agricultural activities, long absent from the valley.<\/p>\n

The Cashmere goa<\/strong>t originates from the high plateaus of Asia, where the climate is extremely cold and the environment harsh. It is a very hardy animal that enjoys being outdoors all year round and prefers low temperatures. Nature has equipped it with an exceptionally fine and dense undercoat with remarkable thermal qualities. This makes it the perfect breed to live with us at 1,500 metres above sea level.<\/p>\n

But this isn\u2019t the only reason: there is also an ethical one. While in most breeds male kids are usually destined for slaughter, male Cashmere goats live long lives because they too produce the precious cashmere fibre.<\/p>\n

This is why raising Cashmere goats immediately felt like an ethical, ecological and respectful choice\u2014one that fully reflects the values we believe in.<\/p>\n
